On Wednesday, I got to class in the middle of a video about the effects on people of receiving only one source of information about things, and how the government can do this. We had a discussion while answering questions about it and then some shared their responses to some of the questions.
I learned that a country or government has every right to absolutely restrict information from its residents as well as give them any information about the countries outside of theirs, whether it is true or not. This impacted me because I knew this was possible, but I hadn't seen the extent of it that was shown in the video and in the examples that Mr. Rease mentioned. With this knowledge, I am much more thankful to be in a country where we aren't super restricted when it comes to matters of what we can know and where we can go.
I liked the topic of the lesson. it was very interesting and easy to stay engaged with. even though I didn't share any answers, I was very easily paying attention to every minute because of the topic.
Today (Thursday) I am feeling great. I led a group in our 2nd FCA SAIL bible study meeting, and it went wonderfully. I also shared with a student on the way up to school about our human spirit, the organ God created us with to contact and receive Him, and we had a time with the Lord.
