 Today, we read more of the book together in class and answered 5 questions about Kien. Then, we had to give three traits of Kien and to back up each trait, three cases of evidence.

I learned of a new side of Kien that hadn't yet been revealed, by reading the segment of his conversation with Can and the events thereafter. It impacted me to see a remorseful, damaged side of Kien that was previously hidden, how Kien cried over Can twice. This changed my previous concept of who Kien was, which I will use to have better insight as we read more of the book.

I liked this lesson overall, but what I didn't like was that I barely had enough time to submit my paper assignment by the end. We probably could have finished it by the end of the day and I was taking my time, though, so I can't blame anything but me. I'm just glad I turned it in on time. 

Today, I am feeling good. I have gotten into somewhat of a routine of playing guitar and singing to the Lord every morning before school. I also set my alarm for earlier than usual today and I think I'm going to start waking up even earlier. Hopefully by this I can start getting to school on time more often. I also need to sleep earlier. Thank You Lord, for another day that You can dispense Yourself into me!

Today we had a substitute teacher and I came in pretty late, but we were given an assignment about the Vietnam war to do in Commonlit, which I've still yet to start on.  I learned more rules about level three lockdowns because we had to do a drill during this class period. I liked this class, but I wish we didn't have to sit in the corner for so long for the lockdown. I would have got much more work done. Jesus is God! I love enjoying God.

 Today we started on a presentation about "A Devoted Son." We got a lot of work done in the long class. I had to battle my OCD because the fonts were all over the place from the theme that I set, and many other formatting things were inconsistent in the presentation while/after we worked on it. I have a problem with taking over too much in group projects because my OCD so strongly wants everything to be my orderly way. I think that I've somewhat overcome this. I kept the weird non-theme-fitting font, but I had to at least make every slide's font the same. I hope we get a good grade on this assignment! O Lord Jesus, how I need You today. Lord, don't let me forget about Your sweet name and Your life-giving Spirit that I can breathe in simply by calling out to You.

 Today I came in a bit late and we were going over two poems, and then answered questions about them on canvas for the rest of class. I wish I came in earlier, because the first poem was called "The Lamb" and it was pretty Biblical; it was about the Lord Jesus but it was very hard to follow. I don't think God made me with a poetry-keen brain, which I am completely fine with. I had some great fellowship with Mr. Rease about the poems and in general about God's predestination and such.  This is the last assignment of the day that I need to get done and it's 3:09; school is about to end. I love doing my schoolwork here because I can go home and enjoy the Lord without Him reminding me to take care of my human responsibilities, because I already have! The Lord has really been getting me through this day; I got 7-ish hours of sleep and I can't wait to take a power nap when I get home.
