Feb 21 + Overcoming and hastening the coming day of God

Today we went through another poem and filled out a table about our dream, including how we would achieve it and what might get in the way.

I had a great time filling out the table. My dream is to attend a Bible school in Anaheim, California, and I based the whole assignment around the fact that the Lord could lead me somewhere completely different. It was funny that I thought that the Bible school cost money, but I sent a picture of my paper to my friend and he told me that the church supports the attendees, so I had to cross out everything regarding saving up for it.

I loved this class period. At the end, Mr. Rease called on me to give my response for the last box, which was: "What do you want your legacy to be?" My answer was "an overcomer." I shared that phrase alongside Revelation 12:11 with the class: "And they overcame him because of the blood of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they loved not their soul-life even unto death. I also shared a little bit about 2 Peter 3:12a: "Expecting and hastening the coming day of God," and explained that we can hasten the Lord's return by our overcoming (and thereby building up the church, which is what hastens His coming, but I didn't get into all of that...)

I also had some great fellowship with Mr. Rease after class and got his son's phone number so I could invite him to a meeting. I hope He ends up at one sometime soon! Lord Jesus, Bryce! Lord Jesus, Mr. Rease! Lord, may we all continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of Yourself. (2 Peter 3:18)
