Today we did an assignment on Newsela.
I got two out of four quiz questions correct in the article, and I'm concerned that my grade will go down a noticeable amount because of this. I hope Mr. Rease is lenient with weighing the quiz grade for this assignment... but praise the Triune God regardless.
I've been having a great morning so far. We recently had some brothers from the church in Boston come for a blending trip (A trip to see and blend with the Body of Christ in localities around the U.S.) and I said goodbye to the one that was awake this morning, Josh. Lord, strengthen Josh today through Your Spirit into his inner man (Eph. 3:16). My dad let me skip school yesterday to hang out with those saints and we had a great time; I showed them my Paul song too.
I had a great time with the Lord this morning. In my daily devotional I read about focusing on only enjoying the Lord rather than worrying about our situations; the more that we worry about things to the Lord, the less quickly He takes care of them. The reading gave an example of the story of Martha and Lazarus, where Martha kept worrying and trying to do something and explain things to the Lord about Lazarus, which only prevented the Lord and delayed His coming to revive Lazarus and recover the situation. We need to just enjoy the riches of the Lord and forget about all of our worries. We need to just call on His name and let Him intercede for us with His own prayers (Rom. 8:26-27). This is truly effortless and utmost enjoyable way to be a Christian.
Praise You, Lord, You are so enjoyable and it's so easy to contact You in our spirit, just by calling Your sweet name. O Lord Jesus!
