Today we researched what the minimum wage in Georgia is and we calculated some expenses that are necessary for living on that wage.
I was struck by how hard it would be to live on minimum wage. This class period made me realize how thankful I have to be for my lawn business. I don't even pay taxes (for now...) and I sometimes make upwards of $40/hr. I do thank the Lord for the situation He's put me in every once in a while, and I also (at least now that I don't have weed in my system bringing my motivation down) try to make sure to take advantage of this privileged situation by being as hard-working as possible.
O Lord Jesus, fill me with Your resurrection life today. Thank You, Lord for putting me where Your sovereign hand has.
