Today, we took an assessment on a segment of "The Yellow Wallpaper." I did not do very well on it.

I learned how to better take a reading comprehension assessment. I was misled on a couple of questions and I thought I had a pretty solid case to plead when I found out they were wrong, but Mr. Rease's explanations helped me realize I just need to really get into the details and trust the process of elimination on each question. It impacted me because I thought I had done pretty well on it, but I think I got a 60% or below. With the knowledge I obtained, I plan to do much better on the next reading comprehension assessment that I take.

I liked that it wasn't a very work-filled day. The assessment was only 10 questions long, which is both a blessing and a curse. It's probably more of a curse than a blessing because that means each question I get wrong brings my score down an entire letter grade, which is what I disliked about the assessment. I feel like even a 15-question assessment would be miles more forgiving than a 10-question one.

I am feeling great today. I am getting lots of work done and I filled out a "missing assignments" sheet. I need to get the college project stuff from earlier in the year done asap, and this sheet will help me a lot because it is a lot more descriptive and helpful than the simple notebook paper with checkmarks that I was using before.
